Joe Kreuzman visited our Watershed Classroom last year. Joe’s main focus was how connecting with Nature both inside and outside the classroom can lead to enhanced awareness both internally and externally. The students were particularly struck by the notion of stretching their “edges” and how that leads directly to their growth. They also loved the activity of looking for vole hairs in the meadow. This was a great complement to our studies of local ecology, a major focus of our curriculum. Joe was able to tie the exercises of awareness into the needs of our particular program.
