Pre-requisite: Fox Trail Adventure
This advanced week is designed to deepen ones knowledge within the science and the art of the ancient tracking skills. This will include; animal track identification, sign identification, animal trail systems, gait patterns, scat analysis, plaster casting, home use of a tracking box, how to age tracks, animal forms – which is the imitation of animals to help further an understanding of their movements and tracks- track dynamics and their interrelationship with the rest of the landscape and much more. These skills will be learned through hands on activities, games, and through wandering adventures. We will also be going into basic search and rescue techniques including how to lost-proof yourself and your loved ones. All of these skills are taught in a fun and light-hearted environment. This week provides the student with a greater understanding of trailing and what is required to truly become a good tracker. The week ends with a fun and rewarding yet challenging exercise that tests your abilities on all levels. Adults and parents are in separate learning groups from the youth and teens, some evening activities and all meals are shared together.
Tuition: $675 per week
$985 for 2 people (child with parent or guardian)
$500 for each additional family member
