The Caretaker Hybrid 2018 program is an 8-month immersion program that will cover all 4 seasons or cycles of living within a given calendar year, yet it stretches beyond this concept. The hybrid will not waste time covering what you can read a good field guide on and learn yourself. There are so many great skills guides and videos that have been produced over the last century that with the proper passion, one can teach themselves how to make most any skill come alive.
What this hybrid is all about is identifying and removing the blocks that keep a person from achieving the above. It focuses on what one cannot learn in a book or video. Once these blocks or walls are removed, a person is free to become lifelong learners, but more importantly, to become lifelong educators who drive away the ignorance of narrow-mindedness and the narrow, self-limiting blockages that keep one from expanding at limitless rates. This program facilitates how to thrive, as well as adopting the mentality of the caretaker; to inherently become stewards of the earth, community, and self.
This will be a challenging program. It begins in February. It will require a depth of passion. Yes, physical primitive skills will be taught, but that is not the primary focus. Again the primary focus is on what stands in your way to achieve success as you define it, then removing your own identity with any self-limiting definitions. All "Trails" will be visited over the course of the 8 moons. Building and living in a shelter is not required, you can live in whatever you like during this time. There will be an opportunity for a 15 day Wander Quest in the sanctity of Wilderness, depending on the passion and readiness of the group.
Joe Kreuzman (Director and Founder of Coyote Trails School of Nature) is the primary instructor for this program, with guest instructors joining throughout the program.
