The Art of Bow Making, Jan. 20-21 & Jan. 27-28, 2018

Join us in creating your very own hunting-weight selfbow from a hickory tree stave.  In four days you will craft your stave into a shooting bow with your own two hands.  In this class you will learn wood selection, harvesting, bow dimension and design, shaping, tillering, making your string, shooting and caring for your bow.

Ages: 18+

Dates: January 20-21 & 27-28, 2018 (Class split into two consecutive weekends)

Location:  Yale Creek Farm in the Little Applegate (details provided upon registration)

Tuition: $350  --  All tools and materials provided.

 

Details:

Class will run from 9am to about 5-6pm each day.  We will break for lunch (Bring your own lunch and snacks).  If you are from out of town we have nice cabins you can stay in overnight for that weekend for a $25 fee.

Bring notebook, pen, water bottle, lunch and snacks.  On the last day we will be shooting your bow so it is recommended you bring an arm guard and shooting glove/finger tab.

Maximum 8 students.
