This class is offered as part of a monthly series, with the attempt to introduce the basic survival skills. The intent is to offer the classes in sequence as a course, however people can sign up for the classes individually. The exception is the last class (June 24th, 2017). Participants in the last class must have participated in one of the previous classes in order to attend. Each class will last 4 hours and take place in Pataskala, Ohio which is located near Columbus. We will be inside and outside (regardless of the weather) for all classes. Minimum age is 12. More information will be provided upon registration.
May 20 - Food
In the spring there are many wild edibles that can be eaten. We will identify some of them and discuss how they can be included in our diet. We will also explore how to prepare an animal. We will have farmed rabbits available and will go over how to clean and cook them in the fire. Respect and gratitude for our food will be an important element in this class.
