This 80-hr WFR course provides you with the tools to make critical medical and evacuation decisions in remote locations. Classroom lectures and demonstrations are combined with realistic scenarios where mock patients will challenge you to integrate your learning. Learning takes place both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather conditions. No previous first aid training is required.
Participants are required to pass both written and practical examinations to obtain WFR and CPR certification. Successful course completion earns you a WMI Adult & Child CPR certification and a WMI Wilderness First Responder certification. EMTs will earn a Wilderness EMT certification. All certifications are current for two years.
Date: May 1-10 (Monday-Wednesday)
Time: 8 am -- 5 pm (please note there will also be two nighttime sessions, details provided in Student Letter pending registration).
Location: Coyote Trails Nature Center (click here for directions) -- nighttime scenarios will be held at a different location

*Students will be required to sign a Wilderness Medical Institute Agreement (including Assumption of Risks and Agreements of Release and Indemnity), as well as fill out Coyote Trails paperwork following online registration.
Cancellation Policy: In the case of cancellation or withdrawal from this course greater than or equal to 30 days prior to the course starting date, $50.00 will be retained for administration fees. In the case of cancellation or withdrawal within 30 days of the course start date and once the course has begun, tuition is completely non-refundable.
