Primitive Arrows: From Bush to Bow; April 2-3, 2016

In this hands-on class you will learn a process of harvesting a green shaft from the bush and creating a primitive seasoned arrow with what nature provides and a few basic hand tools.  Covered will be harvesting, seasoning, straightening, scraping, sanding, nocking, very basic spining principles (static/dynamic), balancing, hafting, fletching and preserving.  You will harvest your own arrow shafts from the landscape to take home while pre-seasoned arrow shafts from the bush will be provided for you to make into a fully functional arrow in this class that you keep.  With this knowledge you will have the tools and experience to learn to create a set of fully functional natural shaft hunting arrows made entirely by you.
