Offered to Ages 12-17
One of the most crucial skills for outdoor living is knowing how to construct a survival shelter. It is important to know how to build a fast shelter that will keep you dry when it rains and warm when it's cold; weather the winter or even the whole year. You will learn to incorporate such building techniques as stacked log walls, adobe/survival cement, bark shingles and thatched roofing. Learn how to read the land to select the best camp location and how to make it virtually invisible. There is an overnight where you will get the chance to sleep in your shelter. So come ready to build; the possibilities are endless.
